Brown Cotton Chino Wide Straight Trousers

A chino fabric by ONE ANY, made from naturally colored brown cotton. Unlike conventional white cotton, brown cotton is a naturally colored variety with an inherent brown hue.

As its short fibers make it difficult to spin into fine yarn on its own, it is blended with rare green cotton and long-staple organic Supima cotton to provide the necessary strength. By combining the natural colors of each cotton at the raw fiber stage, a distinctive shade is achieved without dyeing.

During weaving, natural starch is used to strengthen the warp yarns in place of conventional synthetic sizing.

As the fabric retains the cotton’s natural color, subtle variations occur depending on the harvest year and growing conditions. The color also gradually evolves with wear, washing, and exposure to light.

Brown cotton has shorter fibers than conventional white cotton, making it difficult to spin into fine, consistent yarn on its own. To address this, it is blended with rare green cotton and long-staple organic Supima cotton, which provides additional strength.

By carefully adjusting the blend to make use of each cotton’s natural properties, the yarn retains the inherent color of brown cotton while achieving the strength and consistency required for production.

Rather than adding color through dyeing, the yarn’s distinctive shade is created by blending cotton fibers with different natural colors. As the color of raw cotton varies slightly depending on the harvest season and growing conditions, the blend is adjusted accordingly to produce a consistent yarn.
